Ski Goggles

Ski goggles are protective barriers that are worn over the eyes while skiing on a mountain during the winter. They typically have a plastic frame, polycarbonate lenses, foam padding and an adjustable elastic securement strap. The design and shape varies little from one company to the next but there are still many different models.

Ski goggles are very important for skiing. They protect the eyes from wind and snow, but most importantly they protect the eyes from harmful UVA and UVB radiation. Over time this can cause temporary blindness which is painful as well. The eyes are kept warm and free from snow and ice even in the harshest conditions. It is almost impossible to ski without a pair.

Ski goggles can be found at sports stores and at ski resorts. At the resort they are often much more expensive than at a local shop, but they typically have the latest and greatest models. Getting the right fit is the most important aspect to picking a pair of goggles. The next aspect should be a quality lens, then adequate ventilation.
